How to Win the Grand Prize

To win the grand prize, write a blog post (no longer than 1,000 words) explaining why you want to win a seat at the Social Media Success Summit 2009. Have your post published by midnight 21st May 2009 (GMT). So we are notified about your post you will need to leave a trackback on this blog post or comment with a link.

Remember the grand prize includes two summit tickets, social media consultation, a site-critique and two awesome books, so it is well worth getting your friends on board. The more friends who enter the more chances you have of getting a seat yourself :) .

Good Luck!

The winners will be selected by Mike and I and announced right here on this blog on the 22st May 2009.

  • Congratulations to all the winners, am sure they will all learn so much.
  • I think the design of the site is fine, though I'm not a big fan of the old west theme it was done professionally and looks nice.

I do find it extremely annoying that every time I visit the site it starts the little video/audio presentation. Those things really get on my nerves (especially when I have music playing).
  • @Olivier - Not sure what your complaint about the summit site is but I think they did a great job and the summit has very nearly sold out ... I would call that a success that many people would like to emulate. Besides, you can rest easy, we won't force you into getting any consulting calls from us or anyone else :)
  • I hate to be snarky, but will the "consultation" be given by whomever designed the summit's website or approved its content (the copy)?

    http://socialmediasummit09.com/

    Because if so, no thanks.

Chris, man. I have the utmost respect for you and many of the speakers at this event, but seriously?
  • Yikes. I just found out about the contest 8 minutes ago. Posted my blog at exactly 12m GMT. Whew! Here is the link. If I had had more time to write, I would have said that I have wanted to go to this seminar because I don't even know what a trackback is! :-) http://blog.simplycelebrate.net/wp-admin/post.p...
  • I hope I can be picked RANDOMLY. :) Winning this would be like being crowned a queen of something-something. A third-worlder like me cannot afford that much close to $500 as that would be my salary for a month.. whining here.
  • Here is my entry for this great competition - posted on the WiRE website in my role as part time Webmaster for them:

  • Most people today are asking why should I bother with social media much less spend time and money to attend the online Social Media Success Summit. The reason to attend comes down to one word - "Amplification." It matters not if you have a cause to champion, product to promote, or a message to speak, you need Amplification. There are almost 6.8 billion people in the world and if you have a product or message the biggest challange you have is to be heard. Social Media allows you to amplify your voice with like voices and like messages to people that would like to associate with you and your message. You can speak alone and you might be heard or you can join the courus of social medial and improve your chance to heard. Remember Social Media is growing and hear to stay. Learn to use social media and improve your the chances that YOUR voice will be heard. The question to ask yourself is do you want to be the only person speaking your message or would you like a chorus singing your message and praise.
  • Just tweeted. Social Media is all new to me, so I'm hoping to win a seat at the conference and learn all I can!
  • Here's me, crossing my fingers, hoping to win the free ticket because I can't afford to attend this year!
