Chris, you may want to change the related link to “how I got 1154 subscribers a month” because the post has nothing but a link to a give away that finished on the 16th of march. Basically a empty link. Love your work but I was a bit disappointed that I could not get my hands on that ebook :(

lol… just got your ungarbled version of the “garbled mess” email… the moment I got the garbled one, I checked out the post! Garbled is so uncharacteristic of you, I immediately got curious, figured you were up to some crazy new marketing ploy. :-)

Chris — a tiny reproach to someone who is a master at leveraging the web. Shouldn't you have a more descriptive title for the PDF download than webinars-final?

    The title or the filename?

Ha, no it was yet another goof, but I got to learn something cool from Aweber support in the process!

That link is automatic I am afraid but drop me an email and I will make it up to you :)

The title was a bit enigmatic but I got my attention. I downloaded the e-book and just read it – some useful and encouraging stuff there. I'll be running some webinars on the new site I'm developing at the moment, so this is timely. Planning to rehearse the first one with a small group of friendly faces though, it's a tad scary!

It does get easier – I am the worlds most nervous presenter so if I can do it anyone can :)

Thanks :-) Chris, another thought just occurred to me: like you, I'm based in the UK, but I suspect also like you, my readers are split over several time zones. Any thoughts on an optimum time to run a live webinar?

I was just discussing this with Lewis and he and Sean have a lot to share on the topic. Bottom line is you have to start thinking of yourself as being based in the timezone of your core audience!

Cool, thanks. I feel a 'Why sometimes automating your blog can bite you in the ass' article coming on. If I write it would you consider a guest post if it is good enough?

The file name when you open up the PDF. I changed it when saving it to a folder it so I'd know where to find it!

cool, I have always participated in GoToWebinar, and I liked it.

The possibilities are really endless, and you can really shine if you have
    a) a cool personality
    b) a nice voice
I have never tried it for myself (too shy?), but I will consider using it the new future. But for face to face, isn't ustream better ?

I am shy too but they work SO well, I can't imagine my business without them now! For faces Ustream etc are better, but that adds another whole “performance anxiety” set of nerves too :)

I love doing webinars because they offer the highest amount of conversions

    Hi Chris,

I have never held a webinar but I have certainly listened to a ton of them!

Signed up and got the ebook, away to read it now, thank you.

    Sally :)

Thanks for the report Chris, looking forward to reading it. I've been to a few Brazen Careerist webinars. I thought they would be boring but they're actually fun. So I challenged myself to do one myself but called it a webparty for the rebranding of my blog. Also fun and recommended:) We had a great turn out and a good laugh, definitely a great way to bond and share stories.

Hey I've got a question – do you think similar value can be leveraged out of pre-recorded webinars? By that I mean something of the depth and quality of a full webinar (eg 1 hour long) but not performed live.

    Yes-webinars rock!!

I recently participated in a webinar/site consultation and it was a great experience. I really valued the live interaction, being able to follow visually, and asking questions for clarification.

Haven't hosted one yet, but it's on the to-do list.

    Thanks Chris!

You don't get the “energy” or the interaction, but people love the webinar replays. Pre-recorded video tends to have expectations of different production values. What can work though if it is presented as a pre-recorded but you are there to answer questions live

People can create a real connection through interacting with your voice. On the webinar last night we had a laugh at Sean's hairstyle and I think we all (other than Sean) had a grin and a bonding experience over it ;)

They can do but they don't have to just be about that :)
