I like the Mixx mainly because of the good company
(Hey Jans :D). People actually talk with each other and that's something I've yet to see in any other network (It might have to do with the fact that the comments have a large-font display and you actually notice they exist). Also, I've yet to see any bigotry or sexism and that's a first for me.

Oh yeah, it ranks amazing in Google, as well as Digg and better than Reddit.

I love the clean design and easy of submitting. The categories also seem quite broad, and there's a mix of stories I might not ever see o the same page at Digg.

Ah, so many bookmarking sites - the only way to choose between them (because clearly, it's not possible to cover them all) is to go with a recommendation from a trusted source. Hundreds of us are hustling over to Mixx right now, on the strength of this post!

In terms of features to differentiate one social bookmarking site from another, however, I've got to mention Diigo as my new rising favourite -- as an actual online research tool, not particularly for page ranking or community. In fact, so far I haven't seen much in the way of community there, but that's probably just my own shrinking-violet style... and what I find most useful is the ability to highlight text or add a sticky note at a particular paragraph on a bookmarked page. That way, it's easier to remember why I bothered to bookmark in the first place! :D

love mixx. loved it from the start. my first social bookmarking site, and really cool. simple to use. friendly. don't know about the pages ranking all that well, and the traffic isn't too hot, but i think it's going places.

I as well like Mixx and would swap Mixx for digg any time. I love the crisp and web 2.0 look, but most of all I love the community that's more respectful, interested and engaging, as opposed to the digg trolls. Too bad it doesn't send out to much traffic, it's pretty decent from that perspective as well too I guess. All in all it's a great social media service.

I don't know that being able to see who voted you down is a good feature (especially not on Digg, given the culture there). I can see it leading to a lot of angry private messages from users with nothing better to do insulting you and demanding to know why you voted their story down.

That's a great find. The first I've heard of it. So much easier to use than Digg. Something tells me that this could be big. Well, it certainly should be. Thanks, Chris.

I agree with you about the Groups feature, in this way we could build a tighter community among our friends, and filter the information.
