Thesis - No More Reasons Not to Buy it
Thesis was already a brilliant theme, I have to concede that. Thing is, I am one of those people who zags when he sees everyone zig. The theme was getting popular fast and I worried the blogosphere was going to look like the Thesisphere. No need to worry now, though, good news everyone!
Chris Pearson has just added the capability to easily change from your control panel
- Font selection
- Column number and size
and next week you will be able to easily change color scheme too! All without touching the code. Chris is constantly upgrading his themes and customers get those improvements completely free of charge.
Now it is not just a great theme (it always was the best for SEO and XHTML goodness), it is probably the only theme you need and it need not look like anyone else when you are done. Even better, right now you get a free magazine style theme with every Thesis purchase.
You know as one of my services I have a combined blog building and coaching package? All my blog builds from now on with be built with Chris’ Thesis and DIYThemes

Chris -
Thanks for the honest and straight forward headsup. We are putting up a new blog that will service our lease and finance business. We had been looking at different themes and Thesis is at the top of the list. Looks like your vote has just pushed us over the top.
Thanks for all the great intell - keep up the great work.
Terry
Thesis is a great theme but the price is way to high for me (at least until I start monetizing my blog and make some money from it)
I’ve been using Thesis on my new blog for the past couple months and I love it. Pearson has set it up with so much functionality, I almost feel guilty that the price isn’t higher. On top of that, there’s never been a question that couldn’t be answered between the user guide and the support forums. Thesis is in a class of its own.
Chris,
Enjoyed the post. How is this offer, that is good until the 31st, different from just buying the Thesis theme. The price is the same. The only difference I see is that you also get Cosmo.
I am a fairly new blogger and am looking at starting another blog next Spring. Thesis would be a good choice but I am trying to figure out if there is an advantage to purchasing it now instead of then.
Hey Chris,
I set the table, you hit it out. Just bought the theme.
@Terry - Compared to some themes I have worked with, Thesis is a breeze and looks great
@Sunil - Look at it as something to work towards then
@Dave - The support is an aspect I haven’t mentioned but you are absolutely right, it’s one of the main advantages
@Valerie - That extra theme is reason enough, but fact is you get free updates so you can always have the most recent version so there is no reason to delay either. Of course if you don’t have a blog then you might want to wait until you have decided you are definitely going to build one.
@Robert - Good stuff, enjoy
Hi Chris,
Very much enjoy your blog.
Question about Typepad to WordPress migration. I keep coming up against limitations in Typepad and am considering migrating to WordPress. My technical expertise is about 6/10.
Would you recommend Thesis as a good way to go?
Alec
I don’t know about this before, but now I already to know that, Thanks Chris four your post. Chris I need your help, please tell me about how to do SEO to get best result(It’s mean in 1st page SERP)?
Thanks for your great attention and your helping,
I’ve seen so many comments about the price. If you aren’t a programmer, the theme pays for itself tenfold. Even if you are a programmer, it still will pay for itself since you don’t need to code (for the most part).
I’ve gone through four themes and Thesis is by far the easiest to use and has an active support forum. If you want to customize or add a feature, chances are the instructions and code are in the forum. If not, just ask and you’ll get a response from the moderators within a day.
My eCPM’s are way better and I’ve had three prospective advertisers contact me in the past month - probably because the site looks more professional. It’s less than $100 and you get free upgrades and free support for life.
I agree with your feeling about this latest upgrade. I purchased the Thesis developer license even before it, but the new options are really great. I have some screen shots here for anyone interested in what you can easily configure out-of-the-box
