Got 100k Page Views? Want More Money?
Ryan from Performancing wanted me to tell you about a new deal that could make you more money if you have a blog with more than 100k page views a month:
- We go direct to the advertiser and you get more money
- High quality, big brand advertisers
- We optimize the ads you run to get you more money from your traffic
- Non-exclusive: you are free to run ads from any network you’d like
If you have not got to the point where you are seeing 100k page views a month, but are interested in selling advertising, don’t despair. First of all, using social media and SEO it is possible to increase your page views significantly. Secondly, Performancing are working on a solution for all sizes of blogs.

If I had this kind of traffic why on earth would I be bothering with someone else? I could just sell traffic directly.
Ahh to bad. I’m usually in the range of 80 to 90k, except when an article gets on reddit and stumbleupon like this month. Maybe I can apply next year.
Chris,
Petty bloggers below the 100k page view mark is a lion’s share of blogosphere to be ignored. Besides, without enhancing usability extra revenue is hardly achievable.
I’m working my way closer — this looks like a nice product. Thanks Chris, hopefully they put in place a solution for smaller bloggers too.
@Evan - You could, but not everyone can or wants to
There is a good reason why most of the top blogs have someone else handle their advertising, from BoingBoing to Problogger, and this isn’t an exclusive arrangement
@Andreas - Might still be worth talking to them, I don’t know how strict or exact the 100k is, I imagine it also depends on niche
@Ian - If you look at my last sentence you will see they are not ignoring anyone, and usability is not the only way to increase revenue.
@Adam - They are, this is just the first step
Just the fact that the network is non-exclusive, it makes the whole deal even better..
You can use multiple CPM networks one on top of the other.. the one that pays the most has the top priority.. and when there’s no inventory for a particular ad spot, you can make your ad fall back to a second, and even a third network.
It only took a day to set everything up on [GAS]..
