We really need to either attend events such as the Northern Bloggers UK Meetup or maybe organise some for ourselves to build up a presence in the North for bloggers!

We did a similar visit in Tokyo last year and really enjoyed learning about the history of their broadcasting and tv services. It didn’t look that much different to what you’ve shown here.

@Writer – I nearly put down £60 just to have access to that gear! I am going to be doing a fair amount of video this coming month and my little macbook is struggling. Hmmm … I think I just persuaded myself …

Thanks for the namecheck Chris – though BarCamp Leeds (http://barcampleeds.com) and OpenCoffee are **not** a boozy, videogame fest as your’re suggesting! But meetups where ideas, progjects, people and ventures often start…food & drink just helps to break the ice somewhat
