FreelanceSwitch Ebook Winners

Before I took my blog-break there was a little prize draw here to win a copy of the fantastic freelancing ebook How to Be a Rockstar Freelancer. Of course now I need to announce a winner!

As Collis allowed me to give away more than one copy and seeing as there were 49 entrants I have decided to award three lucky chrisg.com readers.

I always feel guilty that there can be so few winners. Hopefully I can find a way to offer more prizes in future.

If you are a freelancer and you missed out you would do well to start 2008 with a purchase of the book, it is very good.

Winners:

  • Guilherme Zühlke O’Connor - Making money with your work: The Picasso Vs the Van Gogh method
  • Anthony Williams -

    “Give something away for free.
I don’t mean “work for free” (though you might like to do that in order to get yourself known), I mean create
something self-contained that can be downloaded for free. If you’re a developer, write some software and make it a free download. Write a free ebook (like Chris’s free ebook for subscribers), or make a free blog template. Oh, and write a blog. If you have free content that relates to what you do, people will visit your website, and maybe add a link. More links = better search rankings, and more traffic. More traffic = more potential clients.
Converting potential clients into actual paying clients is beyond the scope of this comment”

  • Jen / domestika -

“When you sign up to do a client’s job, check your ego at the door. It’s their sandbox; they get to call the game.”

Wow, I’m so glad I got it. With all the duties by the end of the year I had almost forgot the contest, it came as a very nice surprise.

Happy new year, may 2008 bring more happiness and authority :-)

You are both so helpful on the Authority Blogger Forum (and Chris) it just goes to show you that good things come to those that give.

    Have a blessed 2008!

@Jen - Good luck for 2008, I am sure you will make it better than 2007 :)

@Muneeb - That’s nice to know, often competitions make one or two people happy and the rest disappointed ;)

@jhay - There will be another before long, just need the prize :)

    @Christopher - That they did :)
