Cool SEO Metrics Firefox Plugin
This one goes in the “possibly useful but definitely cool in a geeky way” category. Yeah, a lot of what I like goes in that category, heh. In this case I am talking about a plugin called Search Status which I was just reading about over at dailyblogtips
Search status is a very useful extension for bloggers, web developers and Internet marketers. Once installed Search Status will add a tollbar to Firefox, displaying various information about the page that you are visiting. The information includes Google PageRank, Alexa Rank, backlinks, meta tags, whois, nofollow links and so on.
Now things like Google PageRank and Alexa rating are not anything to miss sleep over but as bloggers we are forced to take notice of these metrics because companies like Text-Link-Ads use them to determine how much we get paid and especially potential blog valuations. Knowing how many pages your blog has indexed and how many backlinks you are attracting also come in useful.
I would say well worth a download.

I use this tool too, and I like it a lot. I actually think the highlighted nofollow links is the most valuable part of the package, but it still packs in a great amount of other cool stuff. Totally agreed — it’s worth a download.
