When I came across a need to keep track of my comments left on other blogs, (I created a separate category named 'Comments on' and I used to reproduce the comments linked to the original comments! Tedious!) I tried out Co.mment and CoComment. I stuck with CoComment. During the recent blog design changes CoComment came off my sidebar.

Will give your latest find a shot and see how they fare v. CoComment.

This looks pretty interesting. I've been using co.mments for about 4 or 5 months, and I find it indispensable. Being able to track all my comments in one place is much easer than email notification (when it's available).

I liked it better than coComment, but that was mainly due to some bugs back when I tried both. I've heard that coComment has improved greatly.

I've been asked the value of keeping track of your comments. To me, commenting is a form of marketing for your site, and tracking "mailings" is a key component of a campaign.

@Leonard - yeah it is nice to have more control over when you follow up comments you have left rather than be bombarded with emails :)

@Avinash, @Stephen - I might take another look at CoComment, last time I tried it was a while ago

@Jack - you are welcome :)

The other day I started using <a href="http://www.cocomment.com/">coComment</a>, which sounds very similar to what you've described. However, coComment adds a bit of HTML/CSS/Javascript/whoknowswhat (I haven't looked at the source at all) beneath the comment entry area that includes a checkbox asking whether or not to track the conversation. I haven't yet run into a problem with it not being able to track a conversation.

I wish I'd have had one of these programs when I started blogging. It's definitely helped me keep track of comments. Hopefully more and more people start using these.

Thanks! I've bookmarked the site. I use coComment. In my experience, coComment is a great service.

You can use coComment WordPress plugin to integrate the service in your blog. Then installing a FireFox extension won't be a requirement for your readers. :)

I'm actually looking for something similar to this. Am glad you wrote about it. The subscribe to comments feature is flooding my inbox with emails/comments that I no longer wish to keep track of so something like this would be more appropriate.
