Brit Blog Awards? Who Knew?

Apparently there are a Brit Blog Awards. I live here and the first I knew about it was a post on The Blog Herald.  Perhaps I am not as plugged in as I thought, heh.

The UK-centric “Best of Brit” bloggers awards begin taking nominations on Thursday, organised by Ask.com and the Metro newspaper.

Ah, Metro newspaper. The free newspaper handed out to commuters. That explains it, I haven’t commuted since 2005.

One of the judges is Jason Bradbury, his blog is worth checking out if you are into tech and gadgets.

Chris – thank you for sharing this information.

I will be interested to see if it is just for blogs that are from people based in the UK or if Brit’s outside the UK can also enter as I am based in Ireland.

You might be interested to note that the Irish Blog Awards are taking place at the moment.

You can find out more information here:

If you fancy a hop over to Dublin for the weekend the awards are on the 3 March and we’ve room for 400 people. do let me know if you decide to come over.

By the way – congratulations on so many sign ups to your feed with your ebook. I owe you a review!

  3. That would be really cool, I have never been to Dublin, I will be busy though as I have a trip at the end of march to clear my desk for.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the plug dude. Nice blog by the way. Love what you’re doing with those icons at the end of your posts.

As my grandma used to say, god bless her ‘it’s all about the Web 2.0 baby!’

    Hi Chris

I’ve been a subscriber of your blog for about a month (can’t recall how I found you though!).

Didn’t think for one minute that you’re also in the UK… I just presumed you were another blogger from over there!

Interesting reading anyways – well done!
